Bio
Jennifer Palermo

I am a Washington State licensed Clinical Psychologist (License PY 60058557) and earned my Doctorate from Seattle Pacific University.  My breadth of clinical training has developed from working in a variety of settings with diverse populations including children, college students, older adults and veterans.  I have provided individual, group, and couples therapy.  As a general practitioner, I see individuals with a wide range of concerns including depressive and anxiety disorders, relationship problems, stress management, bereavement and life transitions.

I have a particular passion for working with women experiencing perinatal and postpartum depression.  While having a child is often viewed as a positive and rewarding experience, this major life transition often highlights challenges such as adjustment to parenthood, loss of the individual, and relationship challenges.

I utilize an integrative approach to therapy in order to provide each client with an individualized collaborative treatment plan.  The foundation of my clinical approach is grounded in Interpersonal Psychotherapy with the integration of cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and mindfulness/relaxation interventions.

I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the Washington State Psychological Association.
